Our word pick for 2010 - "FOCUS"
Wordsmithing What is it? The art of shaping words into ideas that structure lives. How does it work? It starts with a word we “pick.” Then we build a sentence, a paragraph, a segment, a chapter, and finally a book. The books is published. The books become the inventory for Wordsmith Shops. Who writes the books? The Writers are chosen from the Pickin’ Porch society. They email their paragraphs to us on the word for the month, word for the day in a word (Microsoft) format. Wordsmithing is all about the economy of words and potential of ideas. Wordsmithing is a collaborative network of contributors who enjoy helping us study and write about our “word pick” each month. The writings are edited and published into a one chapter booklet each month. You may download the pages daily. The articles stay up for two days and then they are moved (all except the cover page) to the book under construction. You may also purchase a completed copy of the book. Wordsmithing Choose Words – Structure Your World! “DISCOVERY’ Discovering and understanding the parts that make up who we are is the most important discovery we will make in our lifetime. Our entire quest in life is wrapped up in discovering our identity and validating our worth. Our word pick for June will be "Discovery."
